Interior designer and owner of Robert Passal Interior and Architectural Design, Robert Passal created a classic home with modern touches throughout for a couple on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Passal believes that a designer should work closely with the client, making certain to decorate with their tastes and wishes in mind. Passal also believes that trust is an element that must be present to make the designer-client relationship work.

The client wanted traditional with a modern and punchy feel. I say that the goal was accomplished. ENJOY!

MEG BRAFF ~ INTERIOR DESIGN IN PALM BEACH

Interior designer Meg Braff created a calm palette of neutral and beige tones with pops of color in this Palm Beach home. The client is a mother of three and wanted a livable feel to this home.

The chinoiserie wallpaper in the bedrooms and the trellis wallpaper in the dining room bring elegance to the rooms. The client’s collection of Dodie Thayer Lettuce Ware is displayed in the dining room. The raw silk sofa in the living room has an added border and the beautiful chairs in the living room are covered in Cowtan & Tout’s Tortola in Multi Fern, bringing pops of color to the home. ENJOY!

House Beautiful ~ May 2011 issue

GARDEN IN NANTUCKET

There is nothing I love more than a beautiful garden, filled with beautiful flowers and herbs, statues, fountains and stones. This garden was built on the beach in Nantucket, presenting problems that are associated with sand and salt water.

Susan and Coleman Burke dug a seven foot deep trench and built a wall to separate the sea and its spray from the lush garden. The Burkes then filled in the garden with soil and gravel, planting lavatera, butterfly bushes, poppies, roses and Russian sage. ENJOY!

SUZANNE LOVELL ~ DESIGN ON LAKE GENEVA

Interior designer Suzanne Lovell and architect Chip Von Weise designed and decorated this beautiful glass home on Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. The home is broken into seven pavilions, and each room is separated by a glass walkway. The living and dining rooms are one large room with a thirty foot ceiling. The walls are glass, allowing the family to see the lake and all of the surrounding landscapes from any room.

The interior is designed for relaxed weekends. Lovell decorated with white and used stone and wood on the floors. Much of the furnishings and accessories are by Ralph Lauren, and all surfaces are stain and water proof, allowing the family and their guests to come in from the pool or lake and rest. ENJOY!
