When the talented interior designer Ruthie Sommers, at that time seven months pregnant, was asked by friends to decorate their Chicago townhouse, she was happy to oblige.  ENJOY!

  1. Everything is so beautifully done. Hanging out in that living room would seriously take my blood pressure down a notch or two!

  2. The first room is particularly beautiful - such subtle shades of pink and lemon in the gorgeous rug. A very calm room.

  4. I loved this home and the story behind it! I have loved Ruthie's style ever since I saw her on a long gone HGTV show called Area. She had redone her little brother's apartment and it was the first time I had seen dark walls, white curtains...and it seemed so brave and chic.

    She hasn't let up since!!!

  15. I love all of the rooms Teresa!! I especially love the high gloss black lacquer walls, the reflection from the lights on the walls makes the space seem larger. Have a wonderful weekend!
