I find walls that are completely covered, like the one you show upstairs by the staircase, to be the most challenging. It can also be the most rewarding when done right! - Tonya

i love crowded walls with art,
as well as one huge painting alone on a wall.
but it has to be HUGE

What a brilliant idea. This is a problem so many people have and I still grapple with it sometimes too if its a tricky space or wall where the typical rules don't apply. Great to know!
Happy Monday to you Teresa.

Thanks for the tip...Art work can be tricky. We just had to hang 6 images same size in a square formation. It was not easy!

Terrific collection of inspiration here, and a great tip! We have some art we need to hang in our home - I always have a hard time driving that first nail into the wall for some reason!
Happy Monday, Teresa! Hope you have a lovely week! XOXO

Great post! I always need tips on hanging mirrors, artwork, etc…especially here in the shop! Jim is a fabulous "hanger" though! I'm glad to have him around!

I wish this post was up a week ago since we had several pictures to hang on one wall that took us half a day to get right. I think next time one singlee big picture for us and I like the simplicity.

Need to visit the site - most of our paintings are leaning against walls! We'd love to reproduce a gallery effect.

I've been wanting to do a galley wall for some time now, and this gives me the motivation to get it going. First to get some stuff framed. Will be checking out that site for sure Teres,!

This is such a helpful post! It's always tricky hanging art, and I usually end up with tons of wholes in my wall because I move the photo about 10 times before finding the perfect spot. I really love that 1st photo's gallery wall. Stunning!
