SALSA PLAYERA DE LUJO

Salsa Playera de Lujo


MAKES ABOUT 2 CUPS


INGREDIENTS

1 lb. ripe tomatoes, cored, seeded, and finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
2 tbsp. finely chopped pitted green olives
1 tbsp. finely chopped pickled jalapeƱos, plus 1 1/2 tsp. liquid from jar
1 tbsp. capers, rinsed
1 1/2 tsp. ketchup
1 1/2 tsp. olive oil
1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 small white onion, minced

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large bowl, toss together all ingredients; let sit for 30 minutes to blend flavors. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

*I LEAVE THE OLIVES AND CAPERS OUT FOR A REGULAR SALSA

Hi there
I love it that you include recipes and food talk along with the great design. I've been thinking of doing the same............but it's tough to come up with something new, isn't it? Homemade salsa is so easy to make, but who does it with so many packaged varieties available?
