RICHARD SHAPIRO ~ DESIGN IN MALIBU

When Richard Shapiro decided to renovate a getaway on Malibu's Broad Beach, his plans were very specific.  Shapiro, an antique dealer, furniture designer, and interior designer, wanted a secluded home that he could escape to when work allowed.

The home has a Mediterranean influence, with sanded frescoed walls giving them an old appearance.  The interior, with its tall ceilings, has several styles of furnishings, giving the home a warm, yet airy personality.  ENJOY!

  2. Wow so eclectic! I love the soaring ceilings, the sculpted staircase, and the view..oh the views! Some of the interiors are a little darker/barren for my taste but it works there and is an interesting but well done mix. Nicely done!
