Palm Beach is, and has always been, a place that inspires elegance and architecture, a sign of paradise.  The Bermuda style with a modern hint reminds us of places far away. I must admit my favorite is the red tile roofs.

John and Jan have brought so much to this designation, including John's work in architecture and Jane's contribution to her town and the history of this heartwarming place.

This 1800 New England farmhouse, Ellsworth, is home to Heidi and Safe Churchill. Traditional and Shaker style with a bohemian feel is being renovated now and in the future. Beautiful and toned down furnishings with rooms perfect for relaxation is exactly what they wanted in their home.

If you want a home that could guide you through designing your home, this book, The Illinois Governor's Mansion, will help you make the way. I have never seen so many breathtaking rooms, pieces of furniture, textiles, rugs, art, chandeliers, silver, crystal, and the architecture is overwhelming.

There is so much history in these rooms, and the colors are so lovely. I could spend days looking at the paintings and history of the people that were in the mansion over many years.

No one love French cooking more than I do. When I received this book I was excited to say the least. Through techniques and recipes such as the use of knives, cooking methods, sauces and stuffings and soups, there are an abundance of dishes to cook. 

If you have a question as you go through, it will be answered in the book. I can't wait to get started on some of my favorite challenges.

John lives in his lovely home in Chelsea London, where he has become a very sought after designer.

I cannot share this entire book with you, but it is a must have for everyone that loves America and its history. The Diplomatic Reception Rooms at the U. S. Department of State houses an impressive collection filled with more than 5,000 pieces of stunning art, prints and drawings, furniture, porcelain, silver, rugs, vases, sculpture, documents and architecture, which rivals the collections of The
 Metropolitan Museum of Art and Winterthur.
