When I was poring over the lovely book Cath Kidston: A Place Called Home: Print | Colour | Pattern, I felt like I was at my mother’s home. It was so cozy and filled with old and new, arranged in a unique way.
The cabinets, kitchen, and bathrooms reminded me of my maternal grandmother and grandfather’s home. They lived in the country, and the home had a pond, cows, and a lovely garden with flowers and vegetables. You get my gist, I felt at home.
Cath’s home is filled with glassware, tons of china, linens, old furniture, rugs, and quaint cabinets. There is a cozy look and feel to this art filled home, and I really love the way it was planned and redone.
Below are a few of the rooms in Cath and her husband’s abode. I hope that you ENJOY!
I have gone over this review several times, and I cannot come up with a description worthy of Danielle’s style and talent. Her brilliance in entertaining and design is just breathtaking.
I have been following Danielle’s work for many years, writing about her homes and her entertaining, watching her grow and tackle life in an admirable way. Making a house a home is a difficult undertaking on its own, but designing that home to welcome and entertain friends and family is a venture.
I will be honest, I haven’t been able to put this book down. It is absolute perfection. The silver, linens, china, crystal, flowers, accessories, textiles, wallpaper, paint, furnishings, art, and overall interior design are spectacular.
Danielle’s entertaining skills are second to none. The tablescapes, meals, drinks, and deserts are delicious and beautiful. Whether indoors or out, she creates masterpieces.
