THIS AND THAT

First, let me start the day off with my Pinterest favorites.  ENJOY!

ENJOY the newly added fall pieces in the Alpine Lodge collection HERE.  The carved table is my favorite.

Now...I am curious how you feel about the reality show Honey Boo Boo and the impact this may have on this child.  Are reality shows going too far?

It's all just too much with this unreal reality tv. Although I don't know why we should be shocked at Honey BooBoo's behavior when we have grown housewives acting the way they do! Hope you and your readers will stop by and enter my Novica giveaway, Teresa!

Love your images Teresa- beautiful! I am not a fan of Honey Boo Boo and the promotion of that family to stardom. Maybe it's my age, cause I know the younger generation thinks it's hilarious.

Hi, Teresa - Beautiful photos. We are looking for a tiny mountain home....the Alpine Lodge collection would be perfect. I'm not familiar with Honey Boo Boo. I think some reality shows are fun, and some are silly. Will have to google H.B.B as I like to stay informed :)
Cheers,

I haven't watched Honey Boo Boo and have no intention to, the commercials are enough to put me off. There are so many shows like this - I wonder why people are fascinated with watching the drama of a 'car crash'. It's sad.

OMG on that last picture...seriously? This is what America has come to? Sad in many ways. Onto the fun decor, that first picture makes me want to take a nap and the silver picture is breathtaking and I am on a real antler kick lately!! Beautiul pics, even Honeybooboo less her having to show us her ample stomach roll..lol.

I've seen the Honey Boo Boo show when I've stayed at a hotel. I am worried about the effect this will all have on her as she grows up. All shows come to an end - what will the impact of that be for her?

Wonderful images.. I love all the antlers! Poor Honey Boo Boo, this world has gone a bit crazy I think! It is so evident every time we turn on the news, an dI think these reality shows and the internet sensationalize things that should not be! I think I will stick with PBS..Have a great weekend!!

The image of the ballerina is beautiful and the silver. I haven't watched poor Honey Boo Boo and it sounds like I don't want to after reading some of the comments.

so much perfection in those images.

i think there is no such thing as reality tv anymore. how real are you with a camera pointed at your face, big fat checks in the mail, an agent, and 10 book deals?

smiles, lovely.

Beautiful cozy images Teresa. I have really tired of the reality shows.Although I used to get a kick out of the housewives)

What is this family going to do when their little moneymaker starts having second thoughts about going along with all of this nonsense? Its as if the R Shows have to push the boundaries further and further to grab the attention of Prime Time America. Is this what we want the world to think of our culture ( although they already do I am sure!)

Thank you for your comments! In my opinion, these reality shows are not a way to forget about our own problems, but add more to the stress in our lives. It is a method of desensitizing us to a society with less morals, allowing anything to go.
Honey Booboo is an example of child abuse. This child is being taught to act in an inappropriate manner, and I don't believe she will leave this behavior behind. It is obvious that the family is already dysfunctional, and this will have a long term effect on this little girl. It is exploitation. I CAN'T BELIEVE that an intervention has not occurred.
I have a daughter, and I cannot imagine promoting this type behavior. It is our responsibility to bring up our children, providing them with a safe and functional home. It is our responsibility to teach them and lead them in a positive direction, allowing them to be prosperous and law abiding adults. It just breaks my heart.
