Chateau de la Goujeonnerie was renovated by architect Arsene Charier, and the interior was designed by Hassan Abdullah. The chateau is located in Vendee, which is in west-central France.
When co-owners Hassan Abdullah, Stefan Karlson, and Michel Lasserre, creators of London's restaurant Les Trois Garcons and the bar Loungelover, decided to purchase this beautiful 1872 chateau in 2006, they fell in love with the twenty-seven bedroom home with self-contained ancillary buildings.
The chateau was renovated staying true to the original, and the grounds were replanted and redesigned. Many obstacles faced the three owners during the renovation, but this weekend home has become a showplace. ENJOY!

A lot of serious decadence going on here, the only thing that I would have to take out would be the unicorns, those would freak me out a little but everything else is over the top gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow! Reminds me of Albert Sultan who I just featured on my blog but he's right here in America (http://simplifyingfabulous.com/2011/11/18/fab-fridays-designer-albert-sultan/ ).
ReplyDeleteNothing makes a statement for your entry way like a pair of unicorns!
