BARRY DIXON ~ DESIGN IN WASHINGTON

Interior designer Barry Dixon designed this beautiful Capitol Hill row house using unusual arrangements of furniture and a brilliant play on color, but in the bedroom and bath, Dixon brought in subtle tones and metallic paint. ENJOY!

COURTNEY COLEMAN AND BILL BROCKSCHMIDT ~ DESIGN ON FIFTH AVENUE

Architects Courtney Coleman and Bill Brockschmidt were recommended by Rose Tarlow to design an apartment for literary agent Lynn Nesbit.  Being influenced by the apartment of Bill Blass, the architects were asked by Nesbit to visit the designer's apartment.

Nesbit entertains frequently, so the living area was transformed into a library with a table that would seat 24 when the leaves are in.  The apartment is light by day and easily decorated for a party by night.   ENJOY!

THOMAS O’BRIEN ~ DESIGN ON FIFTH AVENUE

Interior designer Thomas O’Brien designed this gorgeous Fifth Avenue apartment.  One of my favorite designers, O’Brien never fails to deliver an over-the-top stunning interior.

The neutral palette plays beautifully with the prominent art and the treasured antiques.  Paintings created by the children are placed as carefully as the collected pieces.

As visually spectacular as this apartment is, there is nothing pretentious about it.  The home sits in a 1930’s building across from Central Park.  ENJOY!

MARTYN LAWRENCE BULLARD ~ REGENCY DAHLING

Classes start today, so I may be a little slow in visiting, but I will get there. Have a great day and ENJOY!

When interior designer and Million Dollar Decorators star Martyn Lawrence Bullard designs a home, the finished product is nothing ordinary.  His trademark Regency style is very prominent in this Beverly Hills home.

Bullard uses a combination of leather, hides, velvet and taffeta silk fabrics, and an enormous amount of glittering color to bring the rooms to life.   His ability to play texture, fabric, and furniture pieces against another is uncanny.  ENJOY!

RENOVATION IN MISSISSIPPI

When Tere and Mac Thomas found an 1825 home that sits on 680 acres in Fayette, Mississippi, they had no idea what they had ahead of them.  Three years later the historical home, named Laurietta, was finished.

This home is on the National Register of Historic Places.  Some of the original pieces from the home were in the basement of the Historic Natchez Foundation.  The family made certain that they stayed as true to the original as possible.

Much of the decorating was accomplished using furnishings and accessories from, Target, Pottery Barn, T J Max, K Mart and Lowe's, and the furniture is slipcovered.  Tere and Mac have four grown children, their spouses and eight grandchildren, and they wanted everyone to feel comfortable here.  ENJOY!
