THE ART OF KATHY MCCULLEN

It is my pleasure to introduce to you a very talented Monroe, Georgia artist, Kathy McCullen. I have been admiring her work for some time and couldn't wait to share with you.

In speaking with Kathy, she spoke of her childhood, and how she loved art and creating beautiful things. Mostly self-taught, she took a couple of art classes and spent a year studying commercial art. Kathy has taught special education for years and writes freelance for a few magazines.  She loves literature, interior design, traveling and gardening. She and her husband are parents to two grown sons.

In Kathy's words,“her inspiration can come from anywhere: from a memory of a place, a flash of color, a room, a story, a feeling, or a  a song, but mostly inspiration comes from the act of painting itself. Experimentation and exploring the media is what inspires me.”

Below are several of Kathy’s paintings using different mediums. You can see more on her website, KATHY MCCULLEN.

I want to thank Kathy for sharing her stunning work with us.  ENJOY!
