NEW IN NEW ORLEANS

Karina Gentinetta and A. J. McAlear lost their New Orleans home to Hurricane Katrina, but they rebuilt, raising the lot before construction of this beautiful cottage.

See more photographs and read this beautiful story in the New York Times article written by Sara Essex here.  ENJOY!

Love a happy ending...so pretty and ecelctic..well done. I am so happy reading and seeing many stories like this happening in New Orleans to see the hope and faith that people have in restoring this grand dame of a city, it is so heart warming..it is an American jewel unlike any other. I have fond memories from being there both before and after.

There's something about that old oriental rug I love - it works so well in that space.
