DESIGN ON PRESTON ISLAND

Artist Martha Sturdy designed a home for herself and her husband on this five-acre island, which is twenty miles northwest of Vancouver. The island was uninhabited until the 1900's.

The couple have six children between them, so the home on Preston Island was decorated with that in mind. ENJOY!

To read more about this home and the island, pick up the February issue of Architectural DIgest.
I hope that all of you will keep our Australian friends in your thought and prayers.  They are going through a horrible disaster now.
See you soon,
Teresa

  8. I was so excited when I picked up the latest issue. Martha Sturdy is such a talented lady -- and so happy that she is local as well. Her work is phenomenal, as is her new home. The fun part of the article? She mentions a home built of stones that was also on her property -- I know the couple who built it by hand as their weekend home :) Such a small world, isn't it? But so lovely to see her work and home featured...

    xoxo
