If you have not been following my blog for long, I would like to introduce you to a good friend of mine, Carolyn Pressgrove, owner of the fabulous shop, Mulberry Heights Antiques. Her shop is absolutely stunning.
Nestled in charming Mountain Brook Village, a Birmingham, Alabama suburb, the shop has a collection of English and French furniture, accessories, art, lighting, pottery, and so much more. Her knowledge of English and French antiques is extensive. You most likely have seen mention of her lovely shop in many publications over the years.

And all those toleware and papier mache trays. Fabulous shop, indeed!! Not only is Carolyn talented, she is very kind and gracious. Her shop exudes the same gracious hospitality. I had a design stores for eight years and while I loved doing the buying and merchandising, working the counter was something I couldn't make myself do in the slow times. I gave it up two summers ago. Lovely post as usual Teresa! Shiree'

One of my favorite things is exploring beautiful and unique stores - and exploring them virtually is great too! Carolyn clearly has a great way with styling too, as every vignette is beautiful.

ReplyDeleteOh next time I go home I'm going to have to stop by this little gem. I've never been in, but have heard about it! I always stop in Homewood, but never make it to Mountain Brooke. I hope whenever you get to stop by in Mountain Brooke, you get to stop at Big Sky Bakery, they have the best bread, granola, and cookies! I'm obsessed with the toile trays...love, love, love them!!!
