ERIC COHLER ~ DESIGN ON PARK AVENUE

Architectural designer Eric Cohler designed this beautiful Park Avenue apartment for his mother.  After deciding to downsize, and owning a stunning collection of folk, Native American, and pre-Columbian art and New Mexican santos, Cohler's mother called on her son to help design her new home.

Cohler renovated the home and made the apartment age-friendly, leaving a space for an elevator, and adding a kitchenette on the second floor.  This makes it possible for his mother to have everything she needs available on one floor as she ages.

I have always admired Cohler's talent for showcasing art and antiques. ENJOY!

TREVOR AND ALEXIS TRAINA ~ DESIGN ON PACIFIC HEIGHTS

When Trevor and Alexis Traina saw this Georgian home at the peak of Pacific Heights, they knew that they had found their home. It took three years to renovate the 107-year-old home that overlooks San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, just in time for baby number two.

The couple has an extensive collection of art, photographs and furnishings. Alexis’ godfather, Thomas Britt, had decorated twelve homes for her family and was instrumental in decorating this home. The late Michael Taylor, who had designed two of Trevor’s homes, also helped design the opulent yet comfortable home. Ann Getty was also called in to help Alexis with fabrics and color. ENJOY!

GWYNN GRIFFITH ~ DESIGN IN SAN ANTONIO

Interior designer Gwynn Griffith lived in a room above a metalworking factory.  The factory was an 18th-century brick building, and when the building went up for sale, Griffith bought it.

Griffith filled her new first floor home with art and furnishings from around the world.  The beautiful hand painted mural, clay busts, plaster pieces, painting from many periods and her extensive collection of furniture pieces meld together to create a bold and stunning palette.  Griffith’s two sons live in the two floors above her.  ENJOY!

CHATEAU DE FLEURY

An hour away from beautiful Paris sits Chateau de Fleury, a historic French Chateau.  The 16th-century castle was commissioned by Come Clausse, King Henry II’s secretary of state.  The home has been passed down for generations and has been occupied by Charles de Ganay since 1961.
