For actress Keri Russell and husband Shane Deary, renovating a Brooklyn 1860s brownstone was a massive undertaking. Deary is a craftsman and contractor, so the job of gutting the home down to bricks and studs and rebuilding was another day at the office. He moved walls to open up the floor plan and used reclaimed materials he brought in and wood he had saved from the home itself.
Russell decorated with a neutral palette and many different textures. Dreary made the dining table and the porthole mirror from reclaimed wood. The beautiful home is exactly what the couple and their son dreamed of. ENJOY!

So beautiful! I actually subscribe to the magazine, but only read about it here. I did not realize he made the table and mirror. This brownstone is neutral, yet has so much warmth from the natural woods. I would love to have a fireplace in my kitchen.
