BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND

This wasn't the first time that George and Darlene Shaw had lived in this charming home in the historic district of Charleston.  The couple left the same home after hurricane Hugo hit, destroying much of the interior of the home.

Not satisfied with the large home they were living in, the Shaws bought their old home for the second time when it went on the market, restoring the home to its present grace.  ENJOY!

    To me, a house is just a house... but then, when a touching story is shared, it brings it instantly into the "home" category. How lovely for this couple—they have done a beautiful job in restoring their home and furnishing it so so well :)

    Beautiful home- thanks so much for sharing! I love that they were able to buy their home back a second time! How wonderful! The interior is beautiful- I love the mirrored walls in the bathroom and the master bed on an angle! Great idea!

    This is so special, a beautiful home full of beautiful memories. Interesting to read this morning because my daughter and I were just talking about how fun it would be for her.....if she were to move back to California to go to school....to rent the small beach house that we lived in when she was a baby! She said, " oh mom, you know you would want to move right in!" She's right!
