I have spent hours going through the history, the stories, the pictures, and the recipes in this book.  This is one of the most lovely cookbooks I now have in my collection.

The women of the Ladies Village Improvement Society are a wonderful and dedicated group of women, striving to make their town a better place to live. They truly love what they are doing, and it isn’t easy work. I was truly touched by their ambition and talent.

I was also impressed by the bountiful farm stands and their use of local fish and seafood. The planned meals full of delicious recipes topped it all off.

Below are several of the images in the book. ENJOY!
