THE LONG AWAITED HOUSE OF WINDSOR BY VERANDA MAGAZINE

Veranda’s first concept house is complete now, and Windsor Smith and nine other designers have shown their immense talents in the design of the 8,000 square-foot home in Los Angeles’ Brentwood.  The home, which Windsor built, is not only drop-dead beautiful, it is functional.

Below are the rooms that were designed by Windsor Smith and nine individual artists.  As I turned each page, I was stunned at how fluid and spectacular the results were.  ENJOY!

WINDSOR SMITH: Entry Hall, Family Room, and Kitchen.

RICHARD HALLBERG: Dining Room.

RICHARD SHAPIRO: Great Room.

CANDACE BARNES: Master Bedroom, Bath, and Dressing Room.

PETER DUNHAM: Guest Suite and Study.

TARA SHAW: Bedroom.

 MARTYN LAWRENCE BULLARD: Media Room.

PAUL ROBBINS: Landscape Design and STEPHEN BLOCK: Patios.

KATHRYN IRELAND: The Stable.  Can I live here?

See you soon,
Teresa

We were able to go see this home. We actually posted pictures of it, but were asked to only show vignettes of each room. It was fun to go through and meet some of the designers.

This was such a remarkable showhouse. I would have loved to seen it in person! Love the white envelope with gray and black throughout and my favorite greens interspersed.

All beautiful. I love how Windsor Smith mixed the more traditional forms with the serge mouille...beautiful.

How beautiful this home is—you had me at the first image with the horse looking in... from the floors, to the bench, to the busts my eye went, and the rest of the house? Just as amazing. I could quite happily live in this home, especially with that velvety chair in luxurious pruple and that bathtub—my goodness!

Hope you are having a lovely week so far...
xx, Sarah
