Reducing the carbon footprint is the most important aim here, and at the same time being able to design a functional home. It is important to the author that we all reuse, recycle, and create minimal surroundings with plenty of greenery.

Ida Magnetron, author of The Sustainable Home: Easy Ways to Live with Nature in Mind, created a lovely book with wonderful ideas for those of us that need help in accomplishing a more beautiful yet eco-friendly home.

The French Royal Wardrobe: The Hotel de la Marine Restored, is as stunning a book as they come. I pored over the book for several hours, devouring every page. 

This hotel is a monument on Paris’s Place de la Concorde, constructed in the eighteenth century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel. It is decorated with the King’s furniture and the crown’s treasures. 

The restoration was completed in 2021, and the building opened to the public. The history throughout the hotel is breathtaking.
